Best Baked Rice And Beans Well, here it is, my favorite dish that I just love to take to work for my lunch. Now, this is Spanish-style baked rice and beans. When the rice sucks up the salsa and with the beans, all that incredibly delicious combination makes this one outstanding recipe. Now I have to tell you that my wife was mad at me because I did not iron the kitchen towel, so forgive me if you noticed. I have to say that I am very multi-talented but ironing I have no idea how to do it. Well, maybe next time I will try it. So back to the dish, hope you enjoy it and please let me know if you did anything different to it. Ingredients 2 cups - Basmati rice or other long-grain rice 2 cans - Red kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1 tsp. - Kosher salt or to taste 1 tsp. - Grounded black pepper or to taste 2 tsp. - Cumin, powdered 1/2 tsp. - Chilli powder 1/4 cup - Olive oil 1 jar - Tomato salsa (16 ounces) 2 1/2 cups - Chicken broth 2 tbsp - Chopped parsley Notes - Cover the dish very tightly with aluminum foil and put an oven tray on top of the dish to add more pressure for the cooking process. Cooking time - 1 hour and 10 mins at 350 F. - When the cooking is done, check the tenderness of the rice and if need be, add some water and return the dish to the oven until the rice is tender.

Perfect Classic Boiled Eggs Every Time I know, I know, Boiled eggs? are you kidding me, I was making those hundreds at a time when I was studying back in school. Yes, but I made this video to be added to my Classic basic cooking playlist where anyone that has started to cook or has to cook sometime in their life can look up a simple easy recipe to make. I find this technic the best for it turns out perfect every time, the egg's hardness can be controlled by the timing that cooks the egg to perfection. Just try it and see how good they turn out, you will be surprised. Ingredients 1 lb or more of filet of fish cod or halibut, skinless 1 1/2 cups - All-purpose flour 1 tbsp. - Baking soda 1 cup - Beer or soda water
Extra water as needed Squirt of lemon

Sicilian Whole Orange Cake
Orange Cake loaf cake, easy to make, fast, and too severe. The orangery juice with its pulp and peel makes this recipe special. The sweet bitterness gives it the perfect taste between sweet and tangy. I can eat this all day and let me tell you that it did not last, in fact, it disappeared in less than two minutes at my friend's party. Just shows you that when you make this cake, please make two....:)



Ingredients

1 lg. - Orange with the peel, washed and chopped 3 med. - Eggs, slightly beaten 1/ 3/4 cups - All-purpose flour, sifted 2 1/2 tsp. - Baking powder 1/3 cup - unsalted butter, softened 1/3 cup - Plain yogurt 1 tsp. - Vanilla extract 1/4 cup - Milk (as needed)

A few months ago, I was invited to my Friend's Wedding and it was my first experience at a Greek Wedding. Now talk about food, it never stopped and it kept coming, one dish after another. How I wish I had more room to hold more. Well, I did not know that I was going to burn off all that food when the music started, wow, talk about "These People Can Dance", loved every minute of it.


Ingredients 1 1/2 Pound - Medium ground meat, or lamb, or in proportion. 1/3 cup - Breadcrumbs 1 cup - Feta cheese 1/2 cup - Fresh parsley (option) 2 Cloves - Minced garlic 2 tbsp. - Olive oil 1 med. - Egg 10 cups - Chicken stock (low-sodium) 1 cup - Orzo pasta 1 tbsp. - Basil or oregano 1/3 cup - Green onions 1 tbsp. - Lemon rind 1/2 med. - Lemon juice (option) Salt and pepper to taste.

Well, here it is, my favorite steak, a sirloin roast. Now the size you see in the video is just perfect for two but if you want you can slice it sideways and make two of them. As for us, we like this amount. My wife likes her steak "well done", as for myself I like it with a little pink inside as a "medium rare".


Ingredients 2 lbs. - Sirloin Steak, New York Strip or Ribeye steak 2 tbsp. - Olive oil, extra for the steak rub 2 tbsp. - Butter, unsalted 4 to 6 - Garlic cloves, flatted, crushed Salt and pepper to taste
Steak Doneness Chart Medium Rare - 145 degrees F Medium - 160 degrees F Well done - 170 degrees F

Steak Bites With Mushrooms I just love making this recipe for it is so fast to make and it always turns out great. It goes good as a stand-alone dish or as a side dish.
Now the meat you choose will have an influence on how soft and tender it will be. The more expensive cut of meat you select the better it will be. You can also use rib-eye or New York strip.


Equipment Cast iron fry-pan Regular fry-pan Air Fryer
Ingredients 1 1/2 lbs - Top sirloin, cubed 8 oz. - Baby bell mushrooms or other 2 tbsp. - Cooking oil 2 tbsp. - Worcestershire sauce or HP sauce 1 tsp. - Garlic powder 1 tsp. - Onion flakes Salt and pepper to taste.

The only problem you will have is that it will go very fast, so keep that oven hot and ready for the second and third batch.

This Nacho recipe is one of my winners and the most wanted foods that my Friends want when they come to my home to watch a film or some game on Tv. Now the old "popcorn" thing will not do it anymore. Try this basic classic recipe and let me know how yours turned out.
Ingredients 1 pkg. - Unsalted or salted nachos, tortilla, and corn chips 2 lbs. - Lean or medium ground beef 1 med. - Onion, chopped 2 to 3 tbsp. - Taco sauce mix, (see below) 1/4 cup - Ketchup or 1 tbsp. tomato paste. 3/4 cup - Canned black beans rinsed and drained Salt and pepper to taste. As needed Cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded Tomatoes, drained and chopped Green onions, chopped Black olives, sliced Hot red peppers Sour cream Parsley chopped Taco sauce homemade 1 to 2 tsp. - Hot chili powder 1 to 2 tsp. - Cumin powder 1 to 2 tsp. - Garlic powder 1/2 to 1 tsp. - Paprika powder 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. - Oregano

Well, another pasta dish request by a few. I love this dish for it is so easy and fast to make especially when you will be having a large group showing up with huge hunger pains. This dish gives you an awesome combination of cream and cheese that is guaranteed to please.


Ingredients 10 oz. - Penne pasta (1/2 pkg.) 2 tbsp. - Olive oil 1 med. - Red onion, diced 3 to 4 cl. - Garlic, minced 1 cube - Chicken bullion, low-sodium 1/2 to 1cup - Cherry tomatoes, halved 1/3 cup - Cream, more if needed, milk or pasta water for a top-up. 1/2 cup - Parmesan cheese, shredded 1 cup - Mozzarella cheese, cubed or shredded Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings - Fresh parsley or basil Options - 2 tbsps. Balsamic vinegar Alternative cooking method - One-pot - Add 5 cups of water to the pot, add pasta and cook until dente (not too soft), reduce the amount of cream.

Smoked Salmon Hand Roll With Avocado And Cucumber I just love sushi but I do not want to go to all that trouble of getting fresh fish for sometimes it is hard to find, so I use smoked salmon or other smoked fish. For me, it just workes out perfect and I have to say it's on the safe side, for unless you know your fish as fresh, it could make your meal a disaster. Now I make a lot of sushi, I would say about twice a month or so. Especially for myself and my wife or for some family or friends get-togethers. Trust me, this recipe goes fast and sometimes I just can not keep up, so have a lot on standby or you could have a riot on your hands.

When it comes to lasagna, I am in. I can have it any way I would like and use really any type of cheese to blend in with the meaty sauce and mozzarella. I like to make this recipe especially for a party or a get-together for it can be made all in one big dish. So just divided it and stand back, for it will go very fast.


Ingredients 1 lb. - Medium ground beef 1 med. - Onion, chopped 2 to 3 cloves - Garlic, minced 2 to 3 tbsp. - Tomato paste 1 to 2 tbsp. - Olive oil 1 tbsp. - Dried basil 1 can - Tomatoes peeled and chopped 1 lg. - Egg, beaten 1 tbsp. - Italian seasoning (see below) 2 cups - Mozzarella cheese 1 cup - Cottage or ricotta cheese 1/2 cup - Parmesan cheese, grated Lasagna noodles as needed Salt and pepper as needed Option - 1 tsp. sugar to remove the acidity from the tomatoes. I just love this recipe, the potatoes with their skins on with the crispness of the flattened potatoes makes this one awesome dish. When I have a party, I always make a lot of these for it is so easy and fast to make them and always a party favorite.
If you would like them to be more crispy, then towards the end of the baking time, just turn on the upper oven grill and leave to for about several minutes. Let me know how yours turned out.

Start - Crispy Garlic Baked Potatoes Wedges



Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs. - Potatoes peeled or leave the skin on, cut into wedges.
1 tbsp. - Olive oil 1 tsp. - Garlic powder
1 tbsp. - Smoked paprika
1 tsp. - Onion flakes or powder Salt and pepper as needed

When I am looking to lose weight especially after doing the Magic diet program, I am very concerned about putting on the weight back. So by eating low-fat foods that will fill you up will help keep your hunger pains under control. This salad not only is high in nutrition but also high in fiber, something that your body needs to help you manage your weight. The combination of this dish is outstanding and delicious. Also, you can have an extra portion if you wish, for it will be ok, I promise you. Do not worry about the oil for as per portion, there is very little that will keep worried. Remember that a bit of oil is good for you in the uncooked staged to provide you with that extra energy that you need. This great delicious drunken mussel recipe is quick to make and everyone will just fall in love with your dish. That’s if they like mussels, for my wife will not eat them nor even look at them. Oh well more for me.

I like to use fresh mussels but you can use frozen if you like. If you use fresh, make sure that if they have an open shell or they do not open when cooked then discard them for they are bad. Ingredients
2 lbs. - Mussels, cleaned and de-bearded 2 tbsp. - butter 4 cloves - Garlic minced 1/2 to 1 tsp. - Hot red pepper flakes, or to taste 1 med. - lemon, zested 2 cups - White wine 1/2 med. - Lemon juice Toppings 1/4 cup - chopped fresh parsley 2 lemon wedges for garnish 2 slices bread, toasted For more information, please see the video.  Sliced Potato Cake Recipe When it comes to comfort food and diet, it does not always come together. Now, this dish does not follow the rules, for I get both of two worlds. I just love potatoes but I like them fried I guess because of the oil in the fry but in this dish, it has all the taste I want without adding all those calories. This is perfect for a party or just a family meal, or to have it as a side dish or just on its own. Let me know how yours turned out and did you add anything different to it.

Sweet Potato With Curry Ketchup Dip Recipe When I am on a diet, I need something to keep me going, and at least something I can call “comfort food”. So as for fries, that means that I have to bake it and for me, the best fries I like coming hot out of the oven are sweet potato fries. I added just a bit of olive oil to the fries to lightly oil them so they can cook better and give some taste. Now I like to use the water soaking method to remove some of the starches, as for adding cornstarch to the fries before the baking I do not use this method. I tried both ways and I can really say for me there’s no difference in how you prepare it. But, saying this you can use cornstarch if you prefer it. Make sure you keep an eye on the fries while baking. If the temperature is too high then they will be cooked on the outside and raw on the inside, but if it is too low then the fries will be dried out a soggy.
