Best Homemade Cream of Celery Cream Soup


So, what do you do with leftover celery, you make soup. I love this soup because of the potatoes, it keeps you full for a while so you do not get hungry so fast. Now about adding the sugar, well sometimes the celery you buy is a bit on the sour side. Adding the sweetener takes the bitter taste away. A little sugar is not going to make it sweet, so do not worry.

Ingredients 

2 cups           -   Celery, chopped with some leaves 
1/2 cup         -   Celery and leaves, finely chopped (extra)

2 tbsp            -  Butter, unsalted 
2 med.           -  Potatoes, peeled 
1 sm.             -   White onion, roughly chopped 
2 cloves        -   Garlic, roughly chopped
1 cube           -   Veggie stock, low sodium 
1/2 tsp.         -   Sugar  (option) 
1 tbsp.           -  Flour, all-purpose
3/4 cup         -   Heavy cream, using 12%, or milk

Salt and pepper (white)  to taste


Notes: 
-   1 st. boil, 25 to 30 mins or until the potatoes are soft. 
-   2 nd. boil, 10 minutes to cook raw celery.

I just love this soup because not only is it fully nutritious but this meal will fill you up without the calories.  
So easy to make in one pot and makes a great presentation at the table for your friends and family. So go ahead and turn heads.

Ingredients 

1/2 pkg.             -  Rice noodles (Vermicelli)
2 cups               -  Bok choy, chopped 
1 med.               -  Zucchini, chopped  (green or yellow)
1 med.               -  Carrot, sliced
1 med.               -  Red onion, chopped
3 cloves            -   Garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp.               -  Soya sauce
1 tbsp.               -  Wine rice vinegar
1 tbsp.               -  Olive oil 
1 cube               -  Veggie stock, low-sodium
Water                -  As needed 

Salt and pepper  - As needed

Option  -   Hot pepper flakes 

Toppings  -   Green onions, parsley

Well, here is another soup diet. Pretty soon I will be called the "Diet Soup King", but I have to try to keep everyone happy. 

This diet so is really awesome, not only is it a healthy diet soup but packed with nutrition and flavor.  This recipe really calls for coconut milk but it is on the fatty side. So I use potatoes to produce the creamy texture and taste, in this way I have kept it "low- fat".

Turmeric

Studies indicate that turmeric can promote weight loss, reduce fat tissue growth, curb weight regain, and enhance your sensitivity to the hormone insulin.


Ingredients

2 lbs.           -  Chicken breasts, skinless and cubes 

2 Ibs            -  Potatoes, peeled and cubed (divided)

1 sm.           -  Onion, finely chopped 

2 each         -  Celery stalks, sliced 

1 cup           -   Chicory or cabbage, spinach, kale 

1/3 cup       -   Pasley, chopped 

3 cloves      -  Garlic, minced

2 tbsp.        -  Ginger, grated 

2 tbsp.        -   Turmeric 

2 tbsp.        -   Lemon juice 

1 cube        -   Chicken stock (low-sodium) or veggie 

1 leaf           -  Bay leaf

I added potatoes to it so it can hold back those hunger pains, after all, I do not want you to go hungry right after. Of course, I designed this soup with weight loss in mind, so go ahead and have it often and reduce those pounds. Also this soup with help fight off those viruses and other nasty things that can affect you. When you eat this soup, you will find that it gives you a warming feeling in your body, but remember to adjust the ginger for too much can upset your system. So, let me know how yours turned out. Now after a lot of e-mail's asking me to get another Magic Diet Soup recipe, so this time I added a little more umff !! with some meat, so here's the soup for you to lose weight. When the sausage blends with the veggies and the broth, it makes this dish "one outstanding recipe". I like to take it to work and just heat it in a microwave and I know that it will keep me happy until dinner time. Now do not stop here, add any sausage you would like. How about farmers sausage or even chorizo. Whatever you add, it will always turn out good. Try this with your friends and family and let me know how yours turned out. This Cozy Winter Soup with brown rice is just perfect to fill you up without a lot of calories. It gives the energy to keep you going without making you run out of fuel and keeps those hunger pains away.
Now, this is not only for winter, in fact for any season and it would be the perfect choice to try the soup. Enjoy the zesty creamy broth that is packed with flavor and nutrition.

If you are going to use this recipe for any vigorous sport or walking around in the cold, then I would advise you to use coconut milk instead of sour cream to get you going further.


Ingredients 4 to 6 cups - Water 1 cube - Veggie stock (low-sodium) 3/4 cup - Brown rice or wild rice 3/4 cup - Button mushrooms, sliced 3 to 4 cloves - Garlic, minced 1 med. - Carrot, sliced 1-2 ribs - Celery, sliced 1 med. - Sweet onion or leeks 1 cup - Shredded cabbage 1 med. - Sweet potatoes, peeled and cubbed 1 to 3 leaves - Bay leaves Salt (keep in low) and pepper to taste. I just love this chicken dish for it is very easy to make and you can use a slow-cooker or a stove-pot. I like the crock-pot best because as it takes more time to cook it is actually marinating the chicken blending it into a wonderfully delicious meal.
This recipe is perfect for losing weight or maintaining it, since it is a complete meal it will fill you up and keep your hunger pains under control. Just try it and see how a simple one-pot meal can help you lose weight and still keep you happy until the next meal.

1 to 3 tbsp    -  Chopped hot chili peppers

Let's start right with fresh minced ginger and garlic and of course hot chili peppers. It is important not to overcook the ginger and the garlic for it will give off a bitter taste and lose its nutritional value. So after a couple of minutes of frying add about half of the water to stop it from overheating.  




To make your life easy add a can of your favorite mixed veggie but make sure that you drained them well. You can also add some extra vegetables that you like and make it your way. 




Please make sure that you keep control over the heat and that the pot is uncovered because of the rolled oats it will become milky and it could overflow and make a high mess. Once it starts to boil, bring down the heat and let it simmer. 




There you have it a great diet soup that will fill you up and keep your hunger under control. Remember to make enough to last you two days with a serving of 4 to 6 each. With this recipe you can expect to get around 3 to 4 serving.

Well, here it is, another garlic soup. Why this type of soup, well the garlic is really good in helping you to fight off colds and flu. It actually makes your immunity system more energized and that makes you more resilient to illnesses.   

Now, please remember that this recipe will not prevent you from getting sick and everyone should use some precautions when it comes to contaminations. If you feel anything that is not normal with your health, then you would seek out a Doctor. 

In this recipe I  use "Quinoa", it's a cross between brown rice and oatmeal. It's fluffy, creamy, and somewhat nutty, all rolled into one. It is super rich in fiber, minerals, antioxidants, and has nine essential amino acids. I can strongly say that Quinoa is one of the top ten healthiest and most nutritious foods found on the planet. 

Just try a couple bowls of this soup and see just what effect it will have on you,  rest assured that this soup is low in calories and fats.

Recipe; 

1  tsp.           -   Olive oil
1  med.         -   Red onion chopped

Let's start with simple ingredients, things that can easily be found in the grocery stores. As for the quinoa, I found that in the Bio or rice section in the store. Always remember that the best healthy recipes start with fresh produce that is easily available. 




In this soup, I like to use sweet onions, for I like this sweetness of flavor it gives off. Now if you prefer you can use white or green onions and yes even leeks. As for the parsley, I chop it finer because it blends better in the soup. 




After adding the garlic please reduce the heat to low and keep an eye on the garlic for if you overcook it then you will lose all its nutritional value. We just want the garlic to blend into the dish and release its flavor and resilient properties. 




Add about have of the water halfway into the cooking process for in this way we can bring down the heat from a hot fry to a boil in order again not to overcook the garlic. 




Now bring it up to a boil, cover it and let it go for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the quinoa is cooked. Please enjoy your good health.

What better combination can you have than garlic and cabbage to help you lose the weigh.  But, not only to lose the pounds but this soup helps to fight off colds and flu. 

I call this soup a Bite-Back soup because when you eat it you will feel and taste the intensity of the garlic.  After having bowel or two of this awesome fat fighter you will get a feeling of warmth all over your body and a sense of well being. 

Eat as much as you want for about 3 days with a sensible Breakfast. Again remember that the more you eat the more weight you will lose. If you go beyond the three days then I would recommend that you have some sort of protein like chicken breast or lean meat but no pork.

Recipe;

1  bulb        -     Garlic 
1  tbsp         -    Olive oil 
1  cup          -    Cabbage
1  cup          -    Frozen or packed fresh spinach 
1  med.        -    Onion 
1  tsp.          -    Cumin 
1  tsp.          -    Thyme
1  tsp.          -    Chile powder 

6 to 10 cups of water. 

Salt and pepper to taste.


Options

1/4  cup         -   Fresh parsley  
1     tbsp        -   Lemon juice

Let's start with fresh cabbage that will shed away those pounds, along with the garlic that will fight off those nasty colds and flu. And to give your body that extra power and nutrition just like Popeye, spinach so you can " fight to the finish ".  





Awww the garlic, its the thing that gives you the power to fight off almost anything including vampires. In the video, I am using a whole bulb and you could use more but remember it could be two strong and give you stomach problems. 

It is important not to over fry or overcook the garlic for it will lose its fighting qualities. After lightly frying the onions and garlic with the olive oil, you should add some water to slow down the frying process. 





Use frozen or packed spinach whichever you prefer, it will turn out tasty and good.  Add enough water to your soup and the level depends on you. Do you want a more of a watery soup our thicker, it's up to you for everyone is different.  





Eat as much as you want for about 3 days with a sensible Breakfast. Again remember that the more you eat the more weight you lose.

So the Winter is over and you have gained a few pounds, now what? Start with this 3-Day Diet Soup and if you did everything correctly and you did not cheat, then you can expect to lose around 4 to 6 lbs. Yes, that is correct, but you must follow the Plan. 

After you complete the 3-day diet program and you find that you would like to lose a bit more, then you can repeat the plan again with a rest period of 4 days. Just keep on repeating and resting until you reach your goals but this does not mean that you can go out a eat anything you want or as much as you want. keep an eye on what you are eating and try to get some exercise in the meantime.

3 Cups - Fresh  tomatoes
3  Cups -  Pasta sauce
1⁄3 Cup -  Tomato paste (1 small jar or can)
5 -  Green onions
2 Tbsp.-  Low-sodium veggie stock
1 Bunch -  Celery &  (some) tops
2 Cups - Fresh green beans
2 - Red or green bell peppers
2 Cups -  Carrots
1 Tsp. -  Chili powder
1 Tsp. - Ground cumin
2 Tsp. - Sweet paprika
1/2 to 1 Tsp. -  Cayenne pepper
2 Tsp. -  Prepared mustard

1/2 to 2  Tsp. -  Ground black pepper

DAY 1

Breakfast

1/2 grapefruit

1 hardboiled egg

1 Slice of Toast

1 cup Coffee or Tea (with caffeine)


 Lunch

Eat the soup

1 Slice of toast

1 small apple

 

Dinner

1 Slice of toast

1/2 banana

3 pieces dark chocolate  


DAY 2

Breakfast

1 hardboiled egg

1 slice of toast

1/2 banana

3 to 4 oz. chicken breast

1 small apple

Start with fresh vegetables, homegrown or farmers local crops are the best. I know it depends on the season, but if you look for it, you will find them.  

As for your tomato sauce, homemade is the best but if you do not have any, then you can use  Fresh tomato juice (low-sodium). See my recipe here for  " Homemade Tomato Sauce ".



Cut all the veggies as small as possible, because in the way, your body will digest it better and it will have a better effect on losing your weight. 

The pot size depends on you and how much of the soup are you going to make. As for me, it was 2 1/2 pots of this size pot I just put the whole pot into the fridge and that keeps it well,  as I use it up.



Do not forget to add ALL the spices I show in the video because this is where that fat burning comes from. If you are sensitive to spicy foods, then you can cut down on it, but it will not work as good.

The spices increase your metabolism and that burns fat, and that is what you want from this soup.




On the boiling point of the soup, please set the time to 30 minutes, but if you are sensitive to fiber, then set it to 40 minutes or more. 

For some people,  the fiber from veggies will give them stomach problems.






Remember that this is a DIET soup to lose weight, so please DO NOT add any salt to it. There is some salt in the low-sodium stock and some the tomato sauce, which is more than enough for this size of soup and it should not give any bad effect on this soup.







Now in addition to my spices, you can add more, like herbs or even other types of spice, but only in addition to the ones I show you on the video.

It is important to NOT make any changes to this soup for it to work properly. Add more but only after you followed the recipe.
