Now after a lot of
e-mail’s asking me to get another Magic Diet Soup recipe, so this
time I added a little more umff !! with some meat, so here’s the soup
for you to lose the weight.
I have used this soup before during my weight loss program
that I started using this first Soup here "Magic Diet Soup - Lose Weight Fast - Low Gi." Although this soup is a med GI , because of the carrots I find it
works just great on its own because the protein just sticks to your ribs and lasts
linger in your system .
I hope it works for you like it worked for me, and yes I do make this soup very often, say about
twice a month just to keep my diet under control. Also you can change
the soup by just adding some meat to it and there you go the same diet soup,
but with a different protein.
Please let me know how yours turned out and did you add
anything different to it. Also try all my diet recipe's here "Weight Loss - Magic Diet'
Here I'am using only chicken breasts, but you can really use any part from the chicken, as long as you remove most of the fat and all the skin.
Try it with beef or a different type of meat, it will all be good and it will give you more of a variety for your diet plan.
Go ahead any add any type of veggies you like, add more or less, whatever you want.
Make it your way, afterall it's your soup, just remember to add only low-sodium stock to it, the less salt the better.
Add water to about 2 inches above the veggie line. If you find that you want more of a liquid soup more then a thick one, then add more water until you get it exactly perfect for you. Remember to adjust the stock to accommodate the extra water to keep the soup tasteful.
Add rice or celery root, for I very often use the root to substitute the potato to give me of a lower GI soup. Anyway you do it, it still will be awesome and be perfect for you diet plan. Also to get it all to a low GI, then substitute the carrots with red peppers and use the celery root.
Go ahead and make it your way. Try to use the herbs fresh for it will give you more of a clean fresh flavour.
This soup is really a winner when it comes to
losing or maintaining your weight. It’s
not like your typical soup that makes
you hungry in a short while. This soup is not only nutritious but also low in calories
with about only 70 calories per
average soup bowl.
Now when you get that deep hunger feeling in the
pit of your stomach and you want
something really filling that will last for a few hours, but also will give you the energy to last the day,
this is the one of choice. Go ahead a
make a lot of this Soup and put them into a few serving size containers and freeze them, for in this way you will
always have them at hand.
I hope you enjoy this soup as much as I enjoyed
making the video. Please keep me up dated on your diet…:)
This old fashion
beef stew is one of my favorites, a
great Family pleaser, really filling and satisfying . Some like to make the sauce a little
more watery and that’s all good, but I
think that a stew should be hearty and thick so it can stick to your ribs, a
working man’s soup. Really anyway you
make it, I know it will turn out awesome..
So easy to make,
all in one pot. Try it in a slow cooker
and just set it and forget it, it
wouldn't it great to come home on a
winters day to this awesome stew. Your Family will all love it.
You can really use any kind of meat from a top grade to a lower budget cut. Now here I was using medium grade beef sirloin filets because I like the faster cooking time of the stew and I also like to have the beef cut in smaller pieces. Anyway you dice it I am sure that it will turn out just great.
Make sure that you coat and brown the beef on all sides so it can have all the juices locked in and not diluted in the stew. Also I would not remove the beef from the pot because all that extra flour will help make your stew more thick. I would also do this if I was going to use a slow cooker, because just throwing the meat in makes it too soggy and mushy and that for me would not make me happy.
If you use a low budget cut of beef, then after the browning process I would let the beef simmer for about 20 mins more or to the point that the beef is a bit more softer before you add the vegetables. In this way the beef will be soft and the veggies will not be overcooked or too soft.
To get a more thick and hearty stew I used a a starchy potato and gave it a few more minutes of cooking time to get that thick creamy liquid. If you want it more watery than I would advise you use a more firm potato (french fry type) and stop the cooking right up to the point of your fork penetrating into the potato. Either Way it will be out of this world.
I really hope that you will try this dish and let me know how it turned out and if you added something your way.
I brought you back this awesome Fish Soup from a Traditional Portuguese recipe from my trip. With all the taste but none of the work. Normally it would be served with a day old bread in the bowl and pour the soup, but it goes just great with potatoes or vegetables.
Now if you use fresh fish like the Traditional way then you will have to do some work. First remove all the scales and gut it. Separate the fish into parts, the head, tail, and the middle bone will all got into the pot with water and boiled until you get a fish broth in about 40 min's, then strain out the contents and use the broth for your soup stock. The rest of the body can be added to the soup hole, skinless or in pieces.

Magic Diet Soup # 3 The In-Between Soup for the times when "you ate a bit tooooo much". It does not mean it is the end of the world, just make this soup and "catch-up" where you left off.
A Diet is not easy and you do try to keep on track, but sometimes "you just can not help yourself", but it's all OK in the BIG picture, you can do it....:) Just keep going it will all come into place...:)
Start of by using a pot that will hold the amount that you will need for at least 5 to six bowls. Remember that this soup also freezes very well and you can add them to portion size containers.
Here by using the carrots it will bring this soup up to a medium GI but if you want a lower GI or if you are just starting out then omit them.
In its place you can add some extra sweet pepper and really any kind of veggie, but I would check the Gi on a GI scale for it's rating.
Remember when you are adding some sort of stock to it, it must be the low-sodium type for after all this is a diet soup to lose the weight.
Try this with different types of stock and see how the taste will differ for each one, a new soup everytime.
Ahhhh here comes the mushrooms. Here I am using the button type all with its other world name. I find this variety much easy to use and I like the delicate smooth taste of it.
Try this with other mushrooms of a blend of them and I know it will turn out just awesome.
Great soup for a cold winters day, easy and fast. The taste of the onions with the creamy and smoothness of the cheese just goes down really good. Healthy and good for you.
1/2 Cup - Cream cheese (plain)
6 Sm. - Onions
1 Med. to 1 Lg. - Carrot
3 Tbsp. - Cooking Oil
4 to 5 Tbsp.- Butter
3 to 4 Qts. - Water
1/3 Cup - Parsley
1/3 Cup - Green onions
1 to 2 - Veggie or Chicken stock (low sodium)
Salt and pepper to taste.
Diet Soup, a complete meal in it's self. Lose the weight fast or just maintain it, it worked for me......
Start with having the soup 3 to 4 times a day, with fruit and salad in between for 1 weeks. Eat a low calorie breakfast like whole wheat porridge or whole breads with low fat butter or jam, fruit will be ok, but no bananas. For a snack if your hungry have some raw veggies or fruit, but no mango. Also have some tea without sugar, coffee (if you have to), but no sugary drinks at all.
After that do this for once a week and on the rest of the days, follow low GI Diet....
Just look at all the great veggie here, that is not only good for your weight loss but you know it is good for you.
Here was using a celery root to substitute the potato to give you some form of fullness so you will last longer and not get hungry so fast, Also this root is low in GI and that's what you want here.
This soup is number 2 in the Magic Diet series to lose weight fast so I added some carrots to it. Now cooked carrots is a medium GI not like the first soup Magic Diet # 1 for there is no carrots.
So if you are using this soup for the first time, please admit the carrots to get it a low GI.
The cabbage is where it gets down to lose the weight and reduce the fat, that's why it's the main ingredient here with the soup.
Now some people with have a weak system detesting the cabbage and it could cause some cramping because of the extra ruffage. So if you find that this is the case then just cook it a little longer to break down the fibers even more.
Now go ahead and add whatever herbs and spices that you would like and you like best. I have designed this soup to give you the best flavor and taste to keep it from being boring, but maybe you would like to add a personal touch to it.
Now remember to keep the salt as low as possible for after all this is a diet soup. If you want to bump up the taste then add more herbs and spices.
Remember to make a large pot of the soup so you will have enough to finish off the fast diet program.
This soup also freezes very well and in this way your supply will never run out and will be ready to use at any time.
Before attempting any diet, you should consulate a Medical Doctor. For I' am just showing "How it worked for me"...
It is an easy to follow diet. Cream of Broccoli Without The Cream , healthy healthy and healthy. Why...? because there is no cream, and that makes it a perfect soup for your Diet or just to warm up and get out of the cold. It's just "awesomeness" and creamy smooth.... Try it,your Family will love you for it....:)
Recipe.......
1 Head - Broccoli
2 Med. - Potatoes
1 Med. - Onion
1/2 Cup - Sweet red pepper
1 to 2 Tbsp. - Cooking oil
1/4 Cup - Butter
1 Cup - Water
1 to 2 Tbsp. - Lemon juice.
2 Tbsp. - Veggie or chicken stock
1/2 Tsp. -Paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic Soup, the perfect Natural Antibiotics, helps build up your immunity system, Helps fight off Colds and the Flu. Now Remember no kissing for an hour.....:)
Do not let this garlic soup fool you. Just because you hear about how much garlic we put in does not mean that that it will have a strong overpowering flavor. In fact it has a nice light creamy taste that just warms you up and gives you a feeling of well being.
I know you will fall in love with this garlic soup and your family will like it.
Recipe............
3 - Med. potatoes.
1 - Lg. carrot.
1 - Sm. onion.
1/2 - Parsnip.
1/2 bulb or 6 gloves garlic.
2 or 3 Green onions.
1 - Cube chicken of veggie stock.
2 to 3 Cooking oil.
1/4 Cup - Butter.
1 tbs. -- Parsley.
1/2 Cup milk or 1/3 cup cream.
Water as needed.
Here I have pressed the garlic into as small pieces as I can get it. Now I do this because I want to get the full flavor of the garlic into the olive oil.
Please watch your temperature at this time for we want to saute the garlic, not toast it or burn it. If the garlic is over cooked then it will give off a bitter taste and lose all its health benefits. So at this point of time, please keep an eye on it.
I added potatoes to this recipe to give the soup some filler to give you that feeling on being full, instead of just a watery soup that will make you hungry in a couple of hours.
Also the potatoes gives the soup a velvet smoothness texture and make it look good and be thicker. If you are concerned with calories and you are on a low GI diet then use some celery root instead of the potatoes.
When blending the soup, please keep it on high for about a minute and a half or more to get it to be as smooth as possible.
Remember to remove the carrot before you do this and only add the herbs after this process.
Add you cream or if you are counting calories milk a little at a time and keep stirring until it gets to the constancy that you like.
Now I usually allow the soup to cool off or serve it the next day and then reheat it to serve. I do this because I want to give the soup to marinate all the garlic and herbs better. In this way it has more of a full flavor.
One little secret on this garlic soup, it goes good also a cold soup, try it and see. It's awesome like this.
Now go ahead and try it and please let me know how yours turned out.

At one point a few years ago I realized that something had to be done with my weight, I was 235 lbs. (106.5 Kg). It even got that I had a problem tying up my own shoelaces for my stomach was enlarged.
Just like a lot of others, I tried many diet systems, bought a lot of books, joined a fitness Club, but continued to struggle with my weight.
After I started to have breathing problems and finding that I was getting sick more often, I got a reality check. So I went to see my Doctor and was told that I would not last longer if I continued with my present lifestyle.
I needed to change everything if I wanted a decent Life and a future.
Well I knew that I had to get something going soon, very soon. So I started to forget all things about all the diet systems that I tried before and failed.
I grabbed my notebook, measuring tools, pots and pans and of course "Mr Google" and started to create a food system that was made custom for my body and that could help me lose the weight and control it.
Magic Diet Soup was born after about a few tries with the soup. I finally got it just right.
I started to just eat the Soup for about a week and then "wow" !!, I lost weight, but I knew that most of it was only water at first, so I tried to stay cool about the results. After the first week I lost about 8 pounds and was happy and I had to say that I did feel better because of all that fiber going through my system, it did give me a better feeling of well being.
Now that I did this for a week and finished "now what", where do I go from here. So it was back to the Kitchen to drum some other foods to keep up my diet plan. What I came up with was my "In Between Soups" that I would eat usually for Lunch every day, but what about some protein and more of a solid type food, for with just soup, I knew that I would not last long on this diet and I could make myself sick.
Well then I stated to change the way I ate and added meat protein in small portions into my Diet and concentrated on having this for my Lunch and now switching the soups for the evening meal, for in this way I found it worked better for me and my system. As for breakfast I had eggs but no more the 3 times a week with a light salad, also during the week I also had high fiber cereals with skin milk, and a lot of oatmeal.
Now I know "what happens when I get hungry ? "In between meals", well I ate more fruit and plenty of raw vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, celery, etc., I found this worked for me and the weight was coming off and this time it was not water but the fat leaving my body.
I got to a point that the weight was coming off, but again I new that I needed some type of exercise in order to further remove the weight and get me in better shape. Now I'am really lazy about it and all things associated with exercising, I dreaded getting started.
So I finally decide to start to run, why?, because I was lazy and this had to be the simplest form of doing it. Right? Wrong !!
When I started to run for the first time, I could not even do 100 yds, I was out of breath, had a burning pain in my lungs and my legs were giving up on me. So my first attempt sent me into a slight depression, for how was I going to do this? Now I knew that I had to try and if others can run hundreds of miles, then I should be able to run at least 1/2 of one. I would do it if I had to kill myself trying, for it was either getting it done or go back the way I was and that would surely kill me.
So I started , really slow at first by walking and jogging for about a month slowly adding more and more distance in yds. until I could do my first months program until I could do it with ease. Here is my first running program that I designed for my training for the first month of running.
After the second month I noticed that the weight was just fling off and "boy !!' was I excited, I just wanted more. So in the following month I created my second Running program #2, please check it here for my second month. http://youtu.be/noeLMRwK2fw
Now today I run up to 2 to 3 times a week and enjoy it, I run like I feel like I have wings on my back. My weigh is completely under control and maintained where I want it. I have super energy, I sleep like a baby, almost never get tired, hardly get sick, my Girlfriend never complains (wink), and "yes" I can tie my shoelaces with ease now. I just feel great and my Doctor say's that I'am a picture of heath inside and out.
One of my usual runs along the river, life is good for me now. Now this shows here that I did a 14.01 Kms. (8.6 miles) run, but remember, was this not the same person that could not even do 100 yds in the beginning.
I have to say the my Soups and my running programs help me get to where I'am today. In the above "After" Picture I finally went down to 160 lbs. (72.5 kg.), but as for today I lost a bit more where I maintain it now and I'am very happy at 152 lbs. ( 68.9 kg.). with a 30 inch (76.2 cm.) coming from a 44 inch (111.76 cm. ) waist.
It was not easy and I did go up and down, but by going one step ahead forward and making this not a diet for your life, but a Lifestyle is the only way for you to get there. Remember theres is no Magic here but there is a very strong magic in oneself when you really want something and go out and do it.
I hope and wish everyone on your way to better health and please note that I'am here for your if you need some encouragement or further information. Please feel free to comment.
