Well here it is, you asked for it and now you got it.

Everyone or most everyone seems to love my Diet Plans but some were asking for a simpler recipe. One that is easier to lose weight but can be used on and off on an as-needed base. So here it is the original cabbage soup recipe that has been used for centuries to lose fat and at the same time keep your body with the proper health factors as it needs. 

All you have to do is have a very simple breakfast and eat the soup for lunch and dinner. Like my other diet soups the more you eat the more you lose the weight. Below I will give you the plan to follow.

The only thing that I added to this soup is the hot peppers and other hot spices, these are important to your weight loss because it increases your metabolism.  Metabolism is what helps with you losing the fat because your body will become more energized.  

Stay on it as long as you like but I would rest the diet soup in-between with some normal low-fat foods especially getting some protein into your system.

For Breakfast:

Have a limited Breakfast of; 

Toast, boiled or poached eggs, high-fiber cereals, low-fat milk, grapefruit, banana (one), low-sugar fruits, oatmeal, etc. 

Coffee or tea with little sugar. 
 


Soup Recipe: 

1/3 - Med. size cabbage.

2  Lg.         - Tomatoes
3  cups       - Tomato sauce 
1/4 cup      -  Tomato paste
2 to 3         -  Green onions
1 cup         -  White or green beans
1 to 3         -  Stems  celery 
1 to 2         -  Red or green bell peppers
2  ea.         -  Veggie stock, low-sodium 
2 tsp.         -  Ground cumin
2 tsp.         -  Sweet paprika 
1 tsp.         -  Hot Chili powder 



Options:

1 -2  tsp.       -  Prepared mustered 
1 med.          - Fresh hot pepper 
2 to 3            - Minced garlic 
1/2 cup         - Parsley 

Ground pepper - As needed 
Salt  - Only if necessary

Start with fresh vegetables and do not be afraid to add some other things that you like. As for spices or herbs add as much as you want or your favorite ones. Make it your way. One of the most important ingredients is the hot spices to increase your metabolism.




Try to slice the cabbage as fine as you can but on the other hand, maybe you would like it with larger slices. It is really up to you. 






Chop up all the vegetables into mouth size pieces. In this way, it is easier to cook, digest, and eat. 






Star off with medium heat and when you finish adding everything, bring it to a boil, cover it and set it on low for 40 minutes. 

Now if you find that you are having digestive problems because of the high fiber, then cook it for a longer time. 




Now go ahead and enjoy the cabbage soup. Remember that the more you eat the more you lose but this time you are in control of your diet.

What better combination can you have than garlic and cabbage to help you lose the weigh.  But, not only to lose the pounds but this soup helps to fight off colds and flu. 

I call this soup a Bite-Back soup because when you eat it you will feel and taste the intensity of the garlic.  After having bowel or two of this awesome fat fighter you will get a feeling of warmth all over your body and a sense of well being. 

Eat as much as you want for about 3 days with a sensible Breakfast. Again remember that the more you eat the more weight you will lose. If you go beyond the three days then I would recommend that you have some sort of protein like chicken breast or lean meat but no pork.

1  bulb        -     Garlic 
1  tbsp         -    Olive oil 
1  cup          -    Cabbage
1  cup          -    Frozen or packed fresh spinach 
1  med.        -    Onion 
1  tsp.          -    Cumin

1  tsp.          -    Chile powder 

6 to 10 cups of water. 

Salt and pepper to taste.


Options

1/4  cup         -   Fresh parsley  
1     tbsp        -   Lemon juice

Let's start with fresh cabbage that will shed away those pounds, along with the garlic that will fight off those nasty colds and flu. And to give your body that extra power and nutrition just like Popeye, spinach so you can " fight to the finish ".  





Awww the garlic, its the thing that gives you the power to fight off almost anything including vampires. In the video, I am using a whole bulb and you could use more but remember it could be two strong and give you stomach problems. 

It is important not to over fry or overcook the garlic for it will lose its fighting qualities. After lightly frying the onions and garlic with the olive oil, you should add some water to slow down the frying process. 





Use frozen or packed spinach whichever you prefer, it will turn out tasty and good.  Add enough water to your soup and the level depends on you. Do you want a more of a watery soup our thicker, it's up to you for everyone is different.  





Eat as much as you want for about 3 days with a sensible Breakfast. Again remember that the more you eat the more weight you lose.

What could be better for you than a nice bowl of beet soup mixed in with potatoes and carrots. Do not let this soup fool you because it has a lot of power in it. Just try and see that after you have some if it does not give you a warm feeling and a burst of well-being and energy. 

The beets are a great source of minerals and vitamins along with their fat-fighting qualities. Try having it two times a day for about 3 days and I know you will see a difference like I did.

Always start with fresh veggies to make your soup the best it can be. I always try to buy locally and from the farmers around the areas.

The veggies her just blend in perfectly for  that awesome taste that you would be looking for in a diet soup. 




Nothing better than fresh garlic to help burn off some of the fat or help you maintain your weight. Remember to keep the heat down low in order to not burn off the goodness from the garlic. The word here is  "simmer" not fry.

Go ahead and add some more if you dare.





I find by shredding my beets with my food processor really cuts down on time with this procedure.  I find that this method really improves the taste by having it cut so thin and find as to dicing it.  

Now, of course, you can chop it up really and way that you like, but I find this is the best for this type of soup. 



Really, because of the beets being cut so fine and the potatoes being cut smaller, I find that boiling the soup should not be more than 30 to 35 minutes. 

If you boil it longer then you could run into very soggy veggies and would change the taste and texture. 





Here I added some low-fat sour cream, just to give it a smoother creamy taste. Also,  you can add yogurt or really anything you want to it. 

If you are the brave type, then add some horseradish to make it become even more of a fat burner. Now only add the horseradish to the soup bowl after it is done cooking.

Garlic And Ginger Soup Well, you asked for it and you got it. Another garlic soup, but I made a few changes from my other successful garlic soup by adding ginger. I added potatoes to it so it can hold back those hunger pains, after all, I do not want you to go hungry right after. Of course, I designed this soup with weight loss in mind, so go ahead and have it often and reduce those pounds. Also this soup with help fight off those viruses and other nasty things that can affect you. When you eat this soup, you will find that it gives you a warming feeling in your body, but remember to adjust the ginger for too much can upset your system. So, let me know how yours turned out. Ingredients 6 to 8 cloves - Garlic, 1/2 bulb, roughly chopped 1 tbsp. to 1/4 cup - Ginger, roughly chopped 3 lg. - Potatoes, peeled, 1/2 to blend and 1/2 for later 1/2 tsp. - White or black pepper 1 tsp. - Thyme, dried or fresh 1/3 tsp. - Cayenne pepper 1 tbsp. - Olive oil 1 cube - Veggie stock, low-sodium 1/4 cup - Fresh chopped parsley Water as needed Salt as needed Options - Hot pepper flakes, onions, carrots, heavy cream.

My Weight Loss  Story


At One Point In Life

At one point a few years ago I realized that something had to be done with my weight, I was 235 lbs. (106.5 Kg). It even got that I had a problem tying up my own shoelaces for my stomach was enlarged. 

Just like a lot of others, I tried many diet systems, bought a lot of books, joined a fitness Club, but continued to struggle with my weight. 

After I started to have breathing problems and finding that I was getting sick more often, I got a reality check. So I went to see my Doctor and was told that I would not last long if I continued with my present lifestyle. 


I needed to change everything if I wanted a decent life and a future.

Well,  I knew that I had to get something going soon, very soon. So I started to forget all things about all the diet systems that I tried before and failed.

I grabbed my notebook, measuring tools, pots, and pans, and of course "Mr. Google" and started to create a food system that was made custom for my body and that could help me lose weight and control it.

Magic Diet Soup was born after about a few tries with the soup.  I  finally got it just right. " Magic Diet Soup "

I started to just eat the Soup for about a week and then "wow" !!, I lost weight, but I knew that most of it was only water at first, so I tried to stay cool about the results.  After the first week, I lost about  8 pounds and was happy and I had to say that I did feel better because of all that fiber going through my system, it did give me a better feeling of well being.


Keep On Going, No Choice Do Or Die. 

Now that I did this for a week and finished "now what", where do I go from here. So it was back to the Kitchen to drum some other foods to keep up my diet plan. What I came up with was my "In Between Soups"  Magic Diet Soup # 3, The In-Between Soup that  I would eat usually for Lunch every day, but what about some protein and more of a solid type food, for with just soup, I knew that I would not last long on this diet and I could make myself sick.

Well. then I started to change the way I ate and added meat protein in small portions into my Diet and concentrated on having this for my Lunch and now switching the soups for the evening meal,  for in this way I found it worked better for me and my system. As for breakfast, I had eggs but no more the 3 times a week with a light salad, also during the week I also had high fiber cereals with skim milk and a lot of oatmeal.  

Now I know "what happens when I get hungry?   "In between meals",   well  I ate more fruit and plenty of raw vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, celery, etc., I found this worked for me and the weight was coming off and this time it was not water but the fat leaving my body.

I got to a point that the weight was coming off, but again I knew that I needed some type of exercise in order to further remove the weight and get me in better shape. Now I am really lazy about it and all things associated with exercising, I dreaded getting started. 

So I finally decide to start to run, why?, because I was lazy and this had to be the simplest form of doing it. 

 Right?  Wrong !!   


When I started to run for the first time, I could not even do 100 yds, I was out of breath, had a burning pain in my lungs and my legs were giving up on me. So my first attempt sent me into a slight depression, for how was I going to do this?  Now I knew that I had to try and if others can run hundreds of miles, then I should be able to run at least 1/2 of one. I would do it if I had to kill myself trying, for it was either getting it done or go back the way I was and that would surely kill me.

So I started, really slow at first by walking and jogging for about a month slowly adding more and more distance in yds. until I could do my first month's program until I could do it with ease. Here is my first running program that I designed for my training for the first month of running.  Running Program One     

After the second month, I noticed that the weight was just flying off and "boy !!' was I excited, I just wanted more. So in the following month, I created my second  Running program #2, please check it here for my second month.  Running Program Two

14.01 Km. Run

One of my usual runs along the river, life is good for me now. Now, this shows here that I did a 14.01 Kms. (8.6 miles) run, but remember, was this not the same person that could not even do 100 yds in the beginning.




Today 

Now today I run up to 2 to 3 times a week and enjoy it, I run like I feel like I have wings on my back. My weight is completely under control and maintained where I want it. I have super energy, I sleep like a baby, almost never get tired, hardly get sick, my Girlfriend never complains (wink), and  "yes" I can tie my shoelaces with ease now. I just feel great and my Doctor says that I'm a picture of health inside and out.

I have to say the  Soups and my running programs help me get to where I am today. In the above "After" above picture, I finally went down to 160 lbs. (72.5 kg.), but as for today I lost a bit more where I maintain it now and  I'm very happy at  152 lbs. ( 68.9 kg.).  with a 30 inch  (76.2 cm.) coming from a 44 inch  (111.76 cm. ) waist.

It was not easy and I did go up and down, but by going one step ahead forward and making this not a diet for your life, but a Lifestyle is the only way for you to get there. Remember there is no Magic here but there is very strong magic in oneself when you really want something and go out and do it.

Well, here it is, another garlic soup. Why this type of soup, well the garlic is really good in helping you to fight off colds and flu. It actually makes your immunity system more energized and that makes you more resilient to illnesses.   

Now, please remember that this recipe will not prevent you from getting sick and everyone should use some precautions when it comes to contaminations. If you feel anything that is not normal with your health, then you would seek out a Doctor. 

In this recipe I  use "Quinoa", it's a cross between brown rice and oatmeal. It's fluffy, creamy, and somewhat nutty, all rolled into one. It is super rich in fiber, minerals, antioxidants, and has nine essential amino acids. I can strongly say that Quinoa is one of the top ten healthiest and most nutritious foods found on the planet. 

Just try a couple bowls of this soup and see just what effect it will have on you,  rest assured that this soup is low in calories and fats.

1  tsp.           -   Olive oil
1  med.         -   Red onion chopped 
6 to 8            -   Cloves of garlic minced 
1 lg.              -   Carrot 
1/4 cup         -    Parsley
1 tsp.            -    Turmeric powder
2 cubes         -    Veggie  stock (low- sodium) 
1 tsp.            -    Crushed red hot pepper flakes 
1/2 cup         -    Quinoa ( rinsed)     
6 to 8 cups   -     Water 


Salt and pepper to taste. 


Makes four servings under 300 calories each.

Let's start with simple ingredients, things that can easily be found in the grocery stores. As for the quinoa, I found that in the Bio or rice section in the store. Always remember that the best healthy recipes start with fresh produce that is easily available. 




In this soup, I like to use sweet onions, for I like this sweetness of flavor it gives off. Now if you prefer you can use white or green onions and yes even leeks. As for the parsley, I chop it finer because it blends better in the soup. 




After adding the garlic please reduce the heat to low and keep an eye on the garlic for if you overcook it then you will lose all its nutritional value. We just want the garlic to blend into the dish and release its flavor and resilient properties. 




Add about have of the water halfway into the cooking process for in this way we can bring down the heat from a hot fry to a boil in order again not to overcook the garlic. 




Now bring it up to a boil, cover it and let it go for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the quinoa is cooked. Please enjoy your good health.

Add all the carrots first to the food processor for because of being harder it will not over chop the broccoli if there were together. 

When the carrots are not cooked and are raw will be low on the GI scale so have as much as you want without the worry. 






I would add the broccoli here in two parts because adding to much will over chop it on the bottom of the processor and have big chunks of it on top and it could turn out not even. 

I used only the pulse setting in order to have more control of the chopping process.








Add as much as you want of the lemon for this juice pulls all the flavor together and helps digest the broccoli in your system .

If you do add more it will not hurt the salad but it could make it to acidity for some. So taste it as you add a little at a time to be on the safe side. 








Now here comes the mayo and I had to add this because it really makes this dish a nice creamy sauce, but if you are counting calories then just reduce the amount or admit it all together. By not adding it, it will not affect the detoxing factor of the salad. It is just for a more rich taste that is added to this. 







Go ahead and add all the fresh parsley that your heart fancy for it can never have enough for you know it's nature's perfect food and it does wonders for you.
