What can go better than a nice cooling cold soup on a hot blistering day? Now you can not go wrong with this soup, it's smooth, appetizing, healthy, and great tasting. I like to make this soup in summer when I have an outside BBQ, it just a big hit with everyone. 

It's really easy to make and all in one pot. This recipe has just the right ingredients, that blend perfectly together, Try it, you can not go wrong.

Recipe;

2 Cups - Buttermilk (low-fat)
1 1/2 Cups - Kefir
1 Cup - Pre-cooked red beets
4 Cloves - Garlic

Bunch - Fresh beet leaves and stems
1/2 Med. - Cucumber
1/2 Bunch - Radishes
1/4 Bunch - Chives
1/4 Bunch - Dill
1 Tbsp. - Apple cider vinegar
1/2 Tsp. - Suger


Salt and pepper to taste.

So the Winter is over and you have gained a few pounds, now what? Start with this 7-Day Diet Soup and if you did everything correctly and you did not cheat, then you can expect to lose around 10 to 17 lbs. Yes, that is correct, but you must follow the Plan. 

I have heard about this soup now for a long time because it is what they use to reduce a person's' weight rapidly and safely before surgery. It is safe, but you should only stay on it for the full 7 days and no more. Then you should go back to your normal eating plan. 

So of to the Kitchen, I went to get this soup copycatted just like the one the hospitals were using. After a few tries and a lot of asking questions to some of the hospital kitchen Staff, I finally got it right. It was not easy to get it done right, but well worth it.

Now in addition to making this soup with all the others, and with the super success of my other soup  " Magic Diet Soup # 1 ". I have been asked to sell my videos and offered a lot of money to give some  Weight Loss Company the write-up link to my videos. I have refused all because I believe that you do not need all those super pills and give out your money when you can do the same in your kitchen with some basic things. So in conclusion, I ask nothing for my recipe's on weight loss, quite simply, it worked for me and it will work for you and you can trust me on that.

3 Cups - Fresh  tomatoes
3  Cups -  Pasta sauce
1⁄3 Cup -  Tomato paste (1 small jar or can)
5 -  Green onions
2 Tbsp.-  Low-sodium veggie stock
1 Bunch -  Celery &  (some) tops
2 Cups - Fresh green beans
2 - Red or green bell peppers
2 Cups -  Carrots
1 Tsp. -  Chili powder
1 Tsp. - Ground cumin
2 Tsp. - Sweet paprika
1/2 to 1 Tsp. -  Cayenne pepper
2 Tsp. -  Prepared mustard

1/2 to 2  Tsp. -  Ground black pepper

Directions 

Soup Diet -

Day #1.
Eat as much of any fruit you want EXCEPT BANANAS and AVOCATOES.
Eat only soup and fruit today but eat all you want.

Day #2.
All Veggies.
Fill up on fresh vegetables (salads etc).
Eat all the soup you want and have a large baked potato with butter at dinner time.
But NO FRUIT TODAY.

Day #3.
Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies you want, but NO POTATOES.
If you haven't cheated you will have lost.
5-7 lbs by tomorrow morning.

Day #4.
Bananas and skim milk.
Eat at least 3 bananas and all the milk you want today.
Remember, you can have soup anytime you want.

Day #5.
Beef and Tomatoes.
You can have up to 20 ounces of beef or skinless chicken breast and 6 tomatoes in any style you like.
Remember to eat soup too.

Day #6.
Beef and Vegetables.
Eat all the beef and veggies you want today.
You can have 2-3 steaks (minimum fat) if you want, with green leafy vegetables.
But NO POTATOES.
Don't forget to have soup.

Day #7.
Brown rice (yes BROWN), unsweetened fruit juice, and veggies today.
Eat all you want whenever you want and have soup as often as you can.

Remember, the more you EAT THE SOUP, the better it will work on losing the weight.

Start with fresh vegetables, homegrown or farmers local crops are the best. I know it depends on the season, but if you look for it, you will find them.  

As for your tomato sauce, homemade is the best but if you do not have any, then you can use  Fresh tomato juice (low-sodium). See my recipe here for  " Homemade Tomato Sauce ".



Cut all the veggies as small as possible, because in the way, your body will digest it better and it will have a better effect on losing your weight. 

The pot size depends on you and how much of the soup are you going to make. As for me, it was 2 1/2 pots of this size pot.  I just put the whole pot into the fridge and that keeps it well,  as I use it up.



Do not forget to add ALL the spices I show in the video because this is where that fat burning comes from. If you are sensitive to spicy foods, then you can cut down on it, but it will not work as good.

The spices increase your metabolism and that burns fat, and that is what you want from this soup.




On the boiling point of the soup, please set the time to 30 minutes, but if you are sensitive to fiber, then set it to 40 minutes or more. 

For some people,  the fiber from veggies will give them stomach problems.






Remember that this is a DIET soup to lose weight, so please DO NOT add any salt to it. There is some salt in the low-sodium stock and some the tomato sauce, which is more than enough for this size of soup and it should not give any bad effect on this soup.







Now in addition to my spices, you can add more, like herbs or even other types of spice, but only in addition to the ones I show you on the video.

It is important to NOT make any changes to this soup for it to work properly. Add more but only after you followed the recipe.

I remember when my Girlfriend  took me to a restaurant in Krakow Poland for the first time that served a very  strange pierogi. It was on display and it looked like something I never saw before. Being, at least  2 feet long I thought, how can they make any money just selling this funny mushroom breadstick. 

As it turned out, it was really a great meal, and I have to say that the place seemed to be full all the time, everyone gobbling  the thing down.   It was quite an experience and I have to admit that I did go back a few times. 

That is why I just had to come home and copycatted the recipe. Now that was not easy, but I stuck to it and it came out awesome like the real thing. it may not be as long as theirs  but just as tasty.

Recipe:

1 lbs. -  Button or any type mushrooms
1/2 Cup - Butter
1 - Medium - Onion
1 Tsp. - Vinegar
1/2 Tsp. - Salt
1/2 Tsp. - Pepper


Topping 
1 - Egg yolk
Splash of water.

Black cumin as needed


Dough
Ready-made or homemade

2 cups - All purpose flour
1 Pkg. - Yeast
Pinch of salt
Splash of milk
2 Tsp. - Cooking oil
Water as needed

It is very important to let most of the water to evaporate from the mushrooms. I would say about 90% of it. Please do not think of draining the excess water and being done with it, because that is where the flavour is and I want to keep it in the mushroom, not down the drain.

Keep the mushroom piled in the middle and that will make the drying process go faster.Keep on stirring on the sides and piling it.  



Only add the butter and vinegar when the water has evaporated. If you skip this process, then your mushrooms will be very soggy and have no taste.








To make your life easier you can buy the ready-mix dough at your Supermarket or you make it from scratch. Here I used my food processor to mix up my dough then I let it rest for about 2 hours.






Your dough should be as thin as possible because you do not want a large puffy crust but a nice smooth and round finish.








Now you do not have to use the cardboard stencil like I did here, but I find this keeps them the same size. It takes out the guessing game of trying it free hand. 







Make a line with your mushroom mix and please try not to spread it around too much because then it will make  it harder to lock in the dough with mushroom at the sealing point. 

If you find that the dough slices have shrunken a bit, then just roll it a few times to get it back to its shape.






Now just roll it over and tap it in. making sure that the mushroom is in the rolled part.









Just roll the whole thing over and there you go, a perfect  breadstick.









Here I am using cornmeal so the dough will not stick when I am baking it. Now you can use other methods or even baking papers. 








Add the egg wash to  the tops of the sticks. Now I usually do not do the sides because I find that the yolk  accumulates at the bottom of the breadstick and burns during the baking. So I just cover the sides. 







Now to top it off "The Black Cumin". This gives a nice around taste  to this dish and this type of cumin is good for you. It just finishes it off to a perfect Breadstick.

What could be better for you than a nice bowl of beet soup mixed in with potatoes and carrots. Do not let this soup fool you because it has a lot of power in it. Just try and see that after you have some if it does not give you a warm feeling and a burst of well-being and energy. 

The beets are a great source of minerals and vitamins along with their fat-fighting qualities. Try having it two times a day for about 3 days and I know you will see a difference like I did.

2  lg. -  Beets ( 1 Pound)

2  Med. - Carrots

Always start with fresh veggies to make your soup the best it can be. I always try to buy locally and from the farmers around the areas.

The veggies her just blend in perfectly for  that awesome taste that you would be looking for in a diet soup. 




Nothing better than fresh garlic to help burn off some of the fat or help you maintain your weight. Remember to keep the heat down low in order to not burn off the goodness from the garlic. The word here is  "simmer" not fry.

Go ahead and add some more if you dare.





I find by shredding my beets with my food processor really cuts down on time with this procedure.  I find that this method really improves the taste by having it cut so thin and find as to dicing it.  

Now, of course, you can chop it up really and way that you like, but I find this is the best for this type of soup. 



Really, because of the beets being cut so fine and the potatoes being cut smaller, I find that boiling the soup should not be more than 30 to 35 minutes. 

If you boil it longer then you could run into very soggy veggies and would change the taste and texture. 





Here I added some low-fat sour cream, just to give it a smoother creamy taste. Also,  you can add yogurt or really anything you want to it. 

If you are the brave type, then add some horseradish to make it become even more of a fat burner. Now only add the horseradish to the soup bowl after it is done cooking.

Well  here it is “Magic Diet Soup  # 3, the soup that is a takeoff from the Original  Soup  that everyone has tried to copy, but failed  for there is only one and one only that is the biggest diet soup on the Net.

Now after this one went viral, another soup was born because of the demand of having more of a choice in having more variety  so you could change the taste and not get bored with it. So  a  second Soup was made and it turned out to be another a great  success, I hope you have tried  " Magic Diet Soup # 2 " , if not I encourage you to do so. 

Of course many others  selling diet pills and other products have piggybacked  on the name of this Soup  “ Magic Diet Soup ” in order to promote their products. I have had countless offers to buy out this soup video and “yes” many have tried to copy and use the videos, but I have stopped all of them and I refuse to sell the video. I want this to be free and opened to my viewers without all the  yahoo  of trying to sell something and using  the videos as a link to gather the viewers to a particular product .   

So once again I got a lot of  e-mails and PM asking me for another  Magic Diet Soup,  so after a month or so, it was created and it is now for everyone to enjoy.

Recipe;

1/2 Head - Cabbage 

1 Sm. - leak
1/2  Med. - Onion 
1 Med. - Celery  root 
3 Stems - Celery 
1/3 Bunch - Fresh parsley
1 Tbsp. - Veggie (low sodium) stock
1 to 2 1/2  Tbsp. - Tomato paste

1/3 Cup - Green onion 
1 Tbsp. - Rosemary 
1 1/2 Tbsp. - Cumin
1 Tbsp. - Thyme 
1/3 Cup. - Fresh  Parsley 


Diet Soup Plan; 
Serve the Soup everyday for two weeks, 3 to 4 times a day, with fruit and salad in between. Can be used with a combination of the other two Magic Diet Soup’s.  # 1, 2  and this one.

I like to use the celery  root instead of potatoes because it is low in the GI scale and  it helps to add some filling to the soup so it will help with your hungry pains and keep you more full for longer periods of time. 

Celery root is one of the most valuable natural foods, which is one of the best known natural deposits s.of various nutrients and vitamins. It is rich in vitamins A, C, K and E, essential oils, carotene, microelements and other nutrient.


 Aww !!  The cabbage, the main ingredients in all the “Magic Diet Soups”  that helps the body reduce fat when you eat it often and on a diet program. . Cabbage contains sulfur and iodine and cleanses the body of fat, particularly in the intestines and stomach area.
Cabbage also has the highest amount of some of the most powerful antioxidants found in cruciferous vegetables – phytonutrients such as thiocyanates, lutein, zeaxanthin, isothiocyanates, and sulforaphane, which stimulate detoxifying enzymes. So try to incorporate cabbage into your diet.

Go ahead and add any type of stock you want from Chicken, beef or veggie stock, but remember to use only "low-sodium" stock, because this is a fat reducing soup.

At the end of the soup boil and after you give it a taste test, some will find that its very plain tasting and you could be tempted into adding salt, with this I say goo ahead but try to add as little as possible.  One thing you could do id just add more spices and see how that could improve your soup for you. 



Now you do not have to add the spices and herbs that I added here in the video, just add whatever you like. 

But one spice that you should always add is "cumin " for the helps you with the digestion in your system and reduces gas. After-all cabbage does produce a lot of gas and  even if it will not hurt you, it could make you feel a bit uncomfortable, cumin helps break down the gas.

It is an easy to follow diet. Although not suitable for lasting weight loss, the Cabbage Soup Diet is a high-fibre, low-fat diet that will help you get into shape fast before you embark on a more sensible long-term diet plan. The cabbage soup is really filler, making sure that the dieter does not get the feeling of starvation or hunger pangs.

My Weight Loss Story.



My Weight Loss  Story


At One Point In Life

At one point a few years ago I realized that something had to be done with my weight, I was 235 lbs. (106.5 Kg). It even got that I had a problem tying up my own shoelaces for my stomach was enlarged. 

Just like a lot of others, I tried many diet systems, bought a lot of books, joined a fitness Club, but continued to struggle with my weight. 

After I started to have breathing problems and finding that I was getting sick more often, I got a reality check. So I went to see my Doctor and was told that I would not last long if I continued with my present lifestyle. 


I needed to change everything if I wanted a decent life and a future.

Well,  I knew that I had to get something going soon, very soon. So I started to forget all things about all the diet systems that I tried before and failed.

I grabbed my notebook, measuring tools, pots, and pans, and of course "Mr. Google" and started to create a food system that was made custom for my body and that could help me lose weight and control it.

Magic Diet Soup was born after about a few tries with the soup.  I  finally got it just right. " Magic Diet Soup "

I started to just eat the Soup for about a week and then "wow" !!, I lost weight, but I knew that most of it was only water at first, so I tried to stay cool about the results.  After the first week, I lost about  8 pounds and was happy and I had to say that I did feel better because of all that fiber going through my system, it did give me a better feeling of well being.


Keep On Going, No Choice Do Or Die. 

Now that I did this for a week and finished "now what", where do I go from here. So it was back to the Kitchen to drum some other foods to keep up my diet plan. What I came up with was my "In Between Soups"  Magic Diet Soup # 3, The In-Between Soup that  I would eat usually for Lunch every day, but what about some protein and more of a solid type food, for with just soup, I knew that I would not last long on this diet and I could make myself sick.

Well. then I started to change the way I ate and added meat protein in small portions into my Diet and concentrated on having this for my Lunch and now switching the soups for the evening meal,  for in this way I found it worked better for me and my system. As for breakfast, I had eggs but no more the 3 times a week with a light salad, also during the week I also had high fiber cereals with skim milk and a lot of oatmeal.  

Now I know "what happens when I get hungry?   "In between meals",   well  I ate more fruit and plenty of raw vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, celery, etc., I found this worked for me and the weight was coming off and this time it was not water but the fat leaving my body.

I got to a point that the weight was coming off, but again I knew that I needed some type of exercise in order to further remove the weight and get me in better shape. Now I am really lazy about it and all things associated with exercising, I dreaded getting started. 

So I finally decide to start to run, why?, because I was lazy and this had to be the simplest form of doing it. 

 Right?  Wrong !!   


When I started to run for the first time, I could not even do 100 yds, I was out of breath, had a burning pain in my lungs and my legs were giving up on me. So my first attempt sent me into a slight depression, for how was I going to do this?  Now I knew that I had to try and if others can run hundreds of miles, then I should be able to run at least 1/2 of one. I would do it if I had to kill myself trying, for it was either getting it done or go back the way I was and that would surely kill me.

So I started, really slow at first by walking and jogging for about a month slowly adding more and more distance in yds. until I could do my first month's program until I could do it with ease. Here is my first running program that I designed for my training for the first month of running.  Running Program One     

After the second month, I noticed that the weight was just flying off and "boy !!' was I excited, I just wanted more. So in the following month, I created my second  Running program #2, please check it here for my second month.  Running Program Two

14.01 Km. Run

One of my usual runs along the river, life is good for me now. Now, this shows here that I did a 14.01 Kms. (8.6 miles) run, but remember, was this not the same person that could not even do 100 yds in the beginning.




Today 

Now today I run up to 2 to 3 times a week and enjoy it, I run like I feel like I have wings on my back. My weight is completely under control and maintained where I want it. I have super energy, I sleep like a baby, almost never get tired, hardly get sick, my Girlfriend never complains (wink), and  "yes" I can tie my shoelaces with ease now. I just feel great and my Doctor says that I'm a picture of health inside and out.

I have to say the  Soups and my running programs help me get to where I am today. In the above "After" above picture, I finally went down to 160 lbs. (72.5 kg.), but as for today I lost a bit more where I maintain it now and  I'm very happy at  152 lbs. ( 68.9 kg.).  with a 30 inch  (76.2 cm.) coming from a 44 inch  (111.76 cm. ) waist.

It was not easy and I did go up and down, but by going one step ahead forward and making this not a diet for your life, but a Lifestyle is the only way for you to get there. Remember there is no Magic here but there is very strong magic in oneself when you really want something and go out and do it.

What could be better  than something to help your  immunity system  when you need it most during a diet or weight loss plan.  Every extra bit helps you to fight off viruses  or any other nasty bugs looking to get you and bring you down. By eating this soup often you will find that it will give you a boost to your  body that you can actually feel as it goes through your system.  

I added  some chili because this spice helps to activate  and elevates  your  metabolism to increase blood flow  and to burn off those extra calories.  As you eat this soup you will start to feel a warmth going through your body  and a sense  of wellbeing. Also  you  should feel a slight clearing of your nasal passages as  it starts to clean  and  clear your  system.  Also I find that I will get a small headache that only lasts for about 5 minutes after eating the soup, but nothing to fear because I know that I’ am going through a detoxifying stage when I have this soup. 

Now one thing that I need to “warn” everyone  is you should always see  a Medical Doctor before you decide to go on any diet or exercise  program.  Also this soup is made only by natural ingredients that you will find in any home and is safe to make, but you should always take anything in moderation and if you feel anything that is not normal, then you should get your question answered by a MD. Never take anything for granted, from any recipe or anything else you could be taking for weight loss or a diet.

Recipe; 

6 to 8 Cloves -  Minced  garlic
3 Slices - Rye bread
1 Sm. - Onion
1 - Egg

1 to 1/2  Tbsp. -  Veggie stock (low- sodium) or other.
1/2 Tsp. - Sweet paprika
1/3 to 1/2 Tsp. - Chilli
3 Tbsp. - Olive oil  ( 1 Tbsp. reserved)

1/4 to 1/2 Cup - Milk

Salt and pepper to taste.

Options; 
1/2 Cup - Red sweet peppers
2 Stocks - Green onions
1 Med. - Carrot
1 Med. - Leek

Go ahead and add the amount of garlic you want. Here I used about  half a bulb, thats about  6 to 8 cloves it just right for me. 

Try it with different types of garlic and change the olive oil to give you that variety in your soup.








Make sure that you have the heat settings on a med.-low to or on low for you do not want the garlic to burn, but to just blend into the oil to give it a full rich flavour. Try to not over cook the oil nor the garlic, for it will give you a bitter taste in the soup if you do.






For me, I really like "rye" bread instead of whole wheat because of the texture and the taste. Also, did you know that the rye bread is just as good for you as the whole grain ones. Of course you can use plain white bread if you want, and it will turn out just as good but without the benefits of the other breads.





I have a rule that all herbs are good for you and I try to use as much as I can in my recipes, with as much varieties as I can without stopping. So go ahead and add as much as you want and make it your way.
