Makes  200-250 mi.

200g  -  Carrot
125g / Med -- Beetroot.
1 Med. Orange.
124g -- Strawberries.

200 to 250 ml. water  or sparkling water or a mix of both.

Research Finds Commercial Energy Drinks Have an Immediate Health Impact
he options for a quick caffeine boost keep pouring in.

The energy drink industry is projected to reach nearly $20 billion in sales this year thanks to its most popular customer: Teenagers.

But according to new research, that energy burst comes with a consequence: Potentially dangerous health problems, especially among teens and young adults.

That has experts concerned.

Dr. Mary Claire O'Brien is one of 18 researchers who recently petitioned the Food and Drug Administration to restrict caffeine in energy drinks because they could be dangerous for young adults.

"They are more sensitive to the effects of caffeine, in part because their body mass is lower and in part because majority of them are caffeine naive compared to adults," O'Brein explains.

A new study shows energy drinks have an immediate impact on heart rhythm and cause an increase blood pressure.

While most adults can tolerate this slight change in heart rate, teens' inexperience with caffeine makes their reaction stronger, with the potential to cause severe cardiac events especially among those with heart problems.

Many energy drinks are classified as dietary supplements, and therefore have no limit to the amount of caffeine they can contain -- unlike sodas.

"We don't think its safe based on the science, and we don't agree that the case has been made by the manufacturers that the levels are safe," O'Brein argues.

The American Beverage Association says research shows teens and young adults consume, on average, a third of the amount of caffeine as people over 21.

The FDA says evidence suggests it may be advisable for teens to limit their caffeine consumption. They are assembling a panel of experts to discuss the topic.

Now I like KFC and it's down right, but now my TFC is done at home and has the same taste and crunch... Just try it. Gooooo on, once and awhile it will not hurt you.

Now I know I know what you are saying that this is very fattening. Right on it is but if you have this within reason and once and awhile it really  not upset your diet.

Go ahead and try to eat just one " I dare you ". Do not underestimate this dish for it is really goos like the real thing.

Recipe 

TFC  My Way, Strips,  Wings.

2- Breasts
1 cup -- Cornflakes.
1 Tablespoon Salt
1 Teaspoon black pepper
1 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Teaspoon paprika
½  Nutmeg.
½ to 1  Teaspoon dry thyme
1/2 Teaspoon dry rosemary
1/2 to 1 Teaspoon dry basil

Wash;
2 cups flour
1-2  eggs
½ to 1  cup buttermilk.
½ cup  water


Ingredients, The BIG Boys

11 herbs and spices as follows:

4-5 pieces of whole chicken , 2 -  breast leg, or 1 kilo wings.

1 Tablespoon Salt
1 Teaspoon black pepper
1 Teaspoon onion powder
1 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Teaspoon paprika
1/2 Teaspoon dry thyme
1/2 Teaspoon dry oregano
1/2 Teaspoon dry rosemary
1/2 Teaspoon dry marjoram
1/2 Teaspoon dry sage
1/2 Teaspoon dry basil

Wash;
2 cups flour
1-2  eggs
½ to 1  cup buttermilk.
½ cup  water

Go ahead and cut your chicken breasts into strips. Do not worry if they are not all the same size or thickness for I have never seen a chicken breast that can be cut perfect. 

Also do not forget to dry them very well because I want all the mixture to stick to the chicken. In this way the results will be better. 







This is where you make it or break it in taste, this is the point where you add more or less of your favourite things. So if you want it like the BIG BOYS then this is the time. 

Or add some other things that will make it taste more like your homeland, there are a never ending choices to this. 







Get everything in close in order to make things easier to reach and move around as fast as possible and  to make your life a little more easy. 

Remember that you are working with raw chicken so be careful not to touch any other thing around you except your working items. 







It's the Cornflakes of golden corn that will give you the crunch crunch, it will look like this was made for this recipe. 

Do not grind the cornflakes to much for we do not want a fine flour,  but a texture that will deliver a crunch to your strips. 







Try to let the chicken strips dry for at least 10 minutes on the rack after the first procedure. This will help bond the mixture to the chicken better for a better texture when frying. 

The temperature has to be hot enough to lock down the mixture to the strips without falling a part. Also,  if it's too low then it will  soak up too much oil into the batter and make it very soggy.

Pate Recipe - Chicken.


Pate Recipe - Chicken. 

If you like a chicken spread for just plain bread or on crackers for your guests, well "this is it". Easy to make and  if you find the taste of liver to strong, then just add mushrooms or more mushrooms until it becomes your own. Don't just take my word for it  "try it"...:)

Recipe

1 Kilo -- Chicken  liver.
2 -- Med.  Onions.
250 Grams -  mushrooms  ( for  milder taste).
2  to 3 -  Gloves  garlic.
1 to 2 teaspoons -  Paprika or hot sauce.
1 to 2  Tablespoons  - Olive oil.
1 to 2  Tablespoons  -  Light/heavy cream.
3 to 5 stacks -- Green onions.
Salt and pepper to taste.

A Diet is not easy and you do try to keep on track, but sometimes "you just can not help yourself", but it's all OK in the BIG picture, you can do it....:)

2  -   Med. Celery  roots.
2  -   Med onions.
2  -   Med to Lg. Tomato.
2  -  Lg. carrots .
2 to 3 -  Bay leaves.
2 to 3 -- Garlic gloves.
2  -  Celery stack, (2 - if you do not use carrots.)
2 -  Any Stock  (low sodium).
1 to 2  -  Tbsp  Olive oil.
1 to 2 -- Tbsp  Tomato paste..
Pepper to taste.

Cake 
-   ¾  to  1 Cups  - Mashed bananas.
-   ½  Cup  melted butter.
-   ½ to 1 to Cup (or more)  white sugar or  brown sugar.
-   2 eggs.
-   1 teaspoons  vanilla extract.
-   ½  Cup  sunflower seeds or any nuts.
-   2  Cups all-purpose  or  cake flour.
-   2  teaspoons  baking soda.
-   ½ to ¾  teaspoons  baking powder.
-   ½  teaspoon  salt.
-   ½  Cup buttermilk  or milk (milk for extra, if needed).

Topping
Cereal
Nuts
Dried banana  fruit.
Really any topping.

Nutty Fettuccine - Easy Low Fat Recipe.

Hello !!  have you tried this awesome pasta dish,  No ? Well go on I know you will have two portions like me and it is low fat, just awesome, awesome......:)

Recipe

4 to 5 - Med  tomatoes.
1  teaspoon - Salt.
2  teaspoons  – Sugar.
½ to 1 teaspoon -  Pepper.
10 slices – Prosciutto
250 grams- Fettuccine Pasta.
2 bunches – Rocked  lettuce.
½  cup – Sunflower seeds ( large variety)  or any nuts. 

Dressing
½  cup – Olive oil.
¼ cup – Red wine vinegar.
2  tablespoons – Basil.
1 to 2  cloves – Garlic  (option).
¼ cup – Graded Parmesan cheese.
1 teaspoon – Sugar.

Do you love KFC then you will go gaga over my TFC ( Tony Fried Chicken). I tried this recipe over and over again until I got it perfect. Now how does it work... Well by letting the first flour coating dry on a rack it lets the flour stiffen  up and then when you add the second coat,,,guess what !!  Crunch crunch, it becomes the same....Try it, do not take my word on it....:)

Recipe:

TFC  My Way
4-5 pieces of chicken, breast leg, thigh or 1 kilo wings.

1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon black/white pepper
1 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Teaspoon paprika
½  Nut meg.
½ to 1  Teaspoon dry thyme
1/2 Teaspoon dry rosemary
1/2 to 1 Teaspoon dry basil

Wash:
2 cups flour
1-2  eggs
½ to 1  cuo butter milk.
½ cup  water
Dash salt

Fish With Lemon Sauce - My Way - Low Fat - Healthy.



Fish With Lemon Sauce just has that great tangy taste that you are looking for. This recipe work good with fresh or frozen fish, either way, try it you will not regret it.  Also it's fat free and good for you, perfect for the family meal.

Recipe

2 -- 3  Fish fillets.
(Fresh or frozen)
½  - Green  sweet pepper.
½ -  Red sweet pepper.
1 to 2 tablespoons Parsley.
100 to 120g  - Baby mushrooms.


Lemon sauce
¾ cup -- Water.
1 -- sm. stock chicken/Veggie.
1 to 2 tablespoons - lemon.
1 to 2 tablespoons Parsley.
2 teaspoons corn flour.

Extra water and/or corn flour, if needed.

A Diet is not easy and you do try to keep on track, but sometimes "you just can not help yourself", but it's all OK in the BIG picture, you can do it....:)  Just keep going it will all come into place...:)

Recipe

500 grams ( 1 lb.)  -  Mushrooms
1 -  Med onions.
1 -  Med to Lg. Tomato
1 -  Celery stack, (2 - if you do not use carrots.)
1 -- Green/red sw. pepper.
1 -- Lg. carrot (not for low GI)
2 -  Stock  (low sodium).
2 -  Tbsp  Olive oil.
2 -  Tbsp  Flour.
1 -  Tsp.  Paprika (optional)
1 to 2 -- Tbsp  Tomato paste.
1/3  Cup  Green onions.
1/3  Cup  Parsley.
Pepper to taste.

Optional
Basil
Oregano
Salt  to taste.

Start of by using a pot that will hold the amount that you will need for at least  5 to six bowls. Remember that this soup also freezes very well and you can add them to portion size containers. 











Here by using the carrots it will bring this soup up to a medium GI but if you want a lower GI or if you are just starting out then omit  them. 

In its place you can add some extra sweet pepper and really any kind of veggie, but I would check the Gi on a GI scale for it's rating. 







Remember when you are adding some sort of stock to it, it must be the low-sodium type for after all this is a diet soup to lose the weight. 

Try this with different types of stock and see how the taste will differ for each one, a new soup everytime. 







Ahhhh  here comes the mushrooms. Here I am using the button type all with its other world name. I find this variety much easy to use and I like the delicate smooth taste of it.

Try this with other mushrooms of a blend of them and I know it will turn out just awesome.

Herring Ceviche - Healthy - Low Fat.



Herring  Ceviche

Herring  Ceviche is just awesome and so Goooood for you, low-fat and  gives you brain food and everyone knows "we all need that".  Please read below how this dish came about.

Recipe

1 -  Lg 2 pieces  herring/sardine  (skin on).
1 -- Lemon juice.
1 -- Lime juice.
1 to 2 Gloves garlic.
1 -- Med. Tomato.
1 /4 Cup olive oil.
1 /4 Cup parsley.
1/4  Cup green onions.

Grilled  (skins off, optional) 
1 -- Green/red pepper.
1 /2 Zucchini.

Marinate
1 -- Hour Vegetables
1 -- Hour pre-marinated fish.
6 -- Hours raw fish. (min).

Ceviche,  How it came about. 

Ceviche is believed to have originated in Peru or Ecuador. In fact, it was the Inca and Pre-Inca times.

They  had Cities  all over the two Continents connecting them with trails called the "Inca trails"  and had long distance runners that carried the news to each place. Now all they had for food was dried yucca in a leather pouch  for the runners stable food as they ran.

Now when they did stop for another other meal in the Jungles, they found plenty of fish in the rivers and streams and with all the natural citrus trees around, it was easy to put two and two together.

A simply citrus bath with the fish was a great replacement for an open cooking fire for after all  they had no time to waste,  to keep  up the running pace for some City was expecting some "news".
