Oven Baked Chicken - "The Simple Way"

Oven Baked Chicken "The Simple Way"

Oven baked chicken the easy and simple way, it turns out just awesome every time.

There is nothing better than cooking your own baked chicken and your Family and Friends will love you for it. In this method, I take you step to step on how easy this is to make.

I am sure that it will be one of the best tasting baked chicken that you ever had for its crispness and tender flavor is out of this world.

Try it just once and I can guarantee you that your oven will not stop baking..

Make sure that you wash the chicken very well and then dry it off to almost a dry touch.

By drying off the bird it will help the butter and oil to adhere to it better and thus produce a better bake.

Remember to be careful with the towel that has dried off the chicken for you do not want to contaminate anything when working with this.

Here I have tied off the legs with a crossover method for I find for me this is less fuss and easier.

Now I have to say that this way, it can be a little tricky because if the cut is too big then it will not hold. So you can use some baking string for it, but please stay away from nylon string.

Now go ahead and add really whatever you would like to the chicken cavity. Add more or less of  what I have showed you.

As the chicken is baking, all the juices will mingle with the things that you have added and will give off an awesome aroma and if your are going to bake some gravy. Then you can drain off the cavity right into a bowl to be part of your gravy. Now that is a whole new video.

Now as you add the butter I like to massage the bird and just blend the mixture right into the skin.

Make sure to get into those hard to reach places to everything will be covered well. After all, this is where soap and water will solve your oily hands, but it will all be worth it.

I like to put the bird on a rack for more of an even baking all around, nice and even.

Now I add the chicken  breast side down first then about halfway I flip it to the other side to finish it off.  Now you can have the top become as crispy as you want by leaving it a bit longer or even give a minute or two with the top grill.

I use this handy dandy temperature gauge to get the baking of the chicken just perfect. It should read a minimum of 165 degrees F.   or about 73/75 C.

Now if you do not have one then just cut a slit on the side of the bird or in the inner part of the leg and give take a look.

For me this is the best way on how to bake a whole chicken at home in an oven. The butter and the oil just give it an awesome crispness and a full satisfying flavour that everyone will enjoy.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I have showing you this recipe.
